Walking and hiking in South Tyrol’s most scenic area

The Val Gardena/ Alpe di Siusi hiking area, set in the heart of the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage Site and in the Puez-Geisler Nature Park, is a land rich in diversity with a stunning landscape that offers everything from family-friendly walks to challenging mountain climbs and scenic circular routes.

Follow our hiking guide Peter on one of his daily discovery tours – the area holds no secrets for him, and he’s eager to share them and some interesting local stories with you. So… there’s nothing for it but to pack the rucksack we’ve provided in your room, hop on our shuttle and start a new adventure!

The Albion circular hike across the "deer valley"

This scenic loop trail starts directly from our hotel and offers a pleasant, unchallenging walk that is also ideal for children or seniors. The path cuts across rolling meadows and goes directly into the wood (also called the “deer valley”), where it flows into trail no. 7, which leads to Ortisei or Castelrotto. After a short ascent, the way leads back to the hotel.

Experience trail Castelrotto - Sant'Osvaldo - San Vigilio - Siusi

This trail is as varied as it is instructive. It consists of several stages, adding up to a total walking time of four to six hours. The sights you will encounter along the way include Tesimo with the St. Nicholas church tower, the Verena church vantage point in Renon, an old wooden bridge, the vantage point at the old road to Castelrotto, the ice holes, Sant Oswaldo’s church, the Tschötscherhof farm inn, the Farming museum, the Aichach ruins and the Malenger mill.
