Kastelruth, also known as Castelrotto in Italian, is the main municipality of the Seiser Alm holiday area. Embedded in the South Tyrolean rural landscape, this village looks like something out of a fairytale book. Don’t be fooled, though: it is very real and deeply rooted in tradition, and its citizens nurture a strong bond with their homeland. A bond that manifests in many ways, including their eager participation in traditional events. These include, among others, the concerts of world-famous local folk band Kastelruther Spatzen. Each year in October, the renowned 'Kastelruther Spatzen' Festival takes place in its hometown of Kastelruth, an event that attracts fans from all over the world.
